"The rally was originally founded to “Change the perception of women in motorcycling” Vicki says, and after running for 13 years, “I think it’s here to stay.” Although there are more female-centric moto-events and clubs than there used to be, Vicki says International Female Ride Day has been a help to bringing some of these people together for the first time, and she still hears about how females met riding friends through the ride day.

Vicki says there will be thousands of females riding on May 4, across 120 countries, riding either solo or in groups. She’s going out for a ride tomorrow herself, with hundreds of other female riders, on a jaunt through southern Ontario."
